Senior Director – Anti-Corruption Investigations and Compliance

Ankura Consulting is looking for professionals with fluency in Portuguese and 8+ years of experience to join its fast-growing Investigations and Accounting Advisory practice.  Ideal candidates have experience in anti-corruption investigations and compliance, forensic accounting, and/or other related areas.  Responsibilities include, forensic accounting, compliance and other analytical skills to various client situations.  Ankura provides the opportunity to work collaboratively on small, diverse teams with skilled, intelligent, driven and successful individuals.  Ankura is focused on hiring people that will serve as the foundation of a growing firm dedicated to its people, culture and delivering high quality service to our clients. 
As a Senior Director, you will be a key member of the engagement team: intimately familiar with your clients' big-picture objectives and challenges as well as the smallest details of their books and records.  With this knowledge you will be responsible for designing, managing, and performing substantive analyses and conveying your results to internal and external project leads.  Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

•       Managing a team of junior colleagues, developing project work plans, and ensuring error-free work product across the team

•       Developing productive working relationships with clients and colleagues

•       Performing analyses to assess complex fact patterns and preparing reports and schedules summarizing findings for review by senior colleagues and clients 

•       Applying accounting, financial, and analytical skills to various client issues, such as review of revenue recognition procedures, detailed analysis of financial statements and underlying books and records, preparation of complex flow projections, and calculations of damages in complex disputes

•       Maintaining detailed working paper records that reflect assumptions, sources, and methodologies underlying all analytical tasks

•       Preparing schedules for clients to depict project scope and findings

•       Contributing to the overall success of the firm by participating in pitches, developing internal training, and marketing the firm externally to prospective clients

•       8+ years of experience working in the field of forensic accounting or consulting with an emphasis on anti-corruption and white collar investigative matters.

•       While not a requirement, a relevant certification such as CPA, CFE or CFF is a plus.

•       Native fluency in Portuguese.

•       Possess strong team-oriented personality characteristics: hard-working, thoughtful, and collaborative, with a positive outlook and confidence

•       Able to work in a team as well as independently

•       Able to demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal), mathematical, and organizational skills

•       Able to adapt quickly in handling multiple/evolving tasks as a result of new engagements and/or re-prioritized deadlines

•       Highly motivated, eager to learn, willing to travel, and able to motivate others

•       Able to mentor and develop junior colleagues

•       Experience undertaking investigations and/or monitorships around the FCPA, UK Bribery Act and other anti-corruption laws.

•       Experience counseling corporations on anti-corruption compliance measures

•       Flexibility to travel as required
