Payroll Compliance Administrator
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and closely working with the CFO, Accounting team and the Human Resources team.
The Compliance Administrator will hold the following specific responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Payroll Manager, Accounting, Finance, and Human Resources teams to use the capabilities of the payroll system to support strategic decisions, financial analyses, staff productivity, and other related special projects as needed.
  • Input semi-monthly payroll and new hires on a timely basis ex: payroll hours, vacation, retro payments, bonuses and expenses. Maintains payroll files with employee documentation. Disburses paystubs as needed for all semi-monthly employees. Prepares time sensitive demand checks as required.
  • Maintain employee time files (currently on Deltek)
  • Work proactively to improve the operating and financial performance of the organization, rethinking existing strategies, processes, or structures, when necessary. Develop and generate monthly analyses and key performance indicators that facilitate in the running of the organization.
  • Act as a key liaison for employee questions. Research and respond to a variety of employee questions in a timely manner, with an emphasis on teaching employee’s self-service portal when applicable.
  • Maintains skill set through continuing education and personal self-development, including working knowledge of statues that may impact payroll (such as the Affordable Care Act) and knowledge of best practice / emerging developments in the payroll, human resources, and time-keeping landscape.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Payroll to draft and create procedural manual for all payroll functions; as well as examine and analyze payroll and tax procedures with ADP
  • Research federal, state and local laws to support changing legislation regarding wage garnishments, earnings & tax compliance
  • Understand and performs all phases of payroll process for Puerto Rico
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 7 years professional experience in payroll and payroll-related endeavors. Ability to produce error-free analysis is a must. Candidates should enjoy working in a team-environment and possess strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
