The role of the Billing Analyst is to assist the local management team or teams and assigned Project Managers in the facilitation and analysis of project and office financials as they relate to projects and resource plans, revenue projections and invoicing through the use of tools and processes dictated by the Company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
  • Generate Fee Applications and all other documents related to court filings, bankruptcy, etc.
  • Facilitate the invoice process, including preparing and reviewing drafts for SMD and/or PM’s approval and issuance of invoices.
  • Facilitate the input of and maintenance of the Project provided by Senior Managing Director (SMD) into Deltek Vision’s Info Center.
  • Receive the signed contract, letter of engagement, agreement, etc. from the SMD and attach in Deltek Vision and save to Contract Repository.
  • Assist SMD and/or Project Manager (PM) with resource planning and assignments based on financials.
  • Set up and/or ensure accuracy of input and maintain projects in Deltek Vision.
  • Monitor projects for financial profitability, ie. budget to actual hours and fees, signed contracts, accounts receivables, etc.
  • Work with SMD to identify revenue to be recognized monthly.
  • Facilitate the invoice process, including preparing and reviewing SMD and/or PM’s approval and issue invoices.
  • Complete project closeout in Deltek Vision making sure SMD and/or PM has completed all services and payments have been received.  
  • Generate Deltek Vision reports as required in order to manage projects.
  • Support and orient new employees in this process.
  • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree and at least 5-7 years of experience of accounts payable experience or a similar combination of education and experience. 
  • Read, understand and implement contracts, agreements, terms and conditions, etc.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively before groups of clients and/or employees of the Company.
  • Apply logic and common practice in order to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this position successfully, required to have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Deltek Vision.
The role will be suited to someone who has experience of working at a senior level, enjoys a full and sometimes deadline-driven day. Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to establish rapport with people at all levels is very much a key skill. This is a demanding role with high expectations. The successful candidate will be self-assured, flexible, reliable with a positive demeanor and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
